11/13/24- I got an RSS feed reader, finally. I'm currently using CommaFeed. I'm hoping it will help ween me off twitter and make news a little more digestable/help me be more present with it. I desperately want to stop scrolling all the time. It's so numbing. Also clearing a lot of shit off my phone and tryna get ready to move over to a relative's old pixel phone -- stop using Apple, simplify my phone use... it's a process but this site and neocities more generally are helping a lot.

11/1/24- I am working on a biiiig bookmarks/links page...

10/23/24- the anarchist bookfair was amazinggg. I'm so glad I'm an anarchist.

8/26/24- This COVID wave feels like it will never end

7/9/24- I'm trying to move my life out of google and into proton but they keep expecting me to pay for every little thing. it's obnoxious. open source, one-time donation maybe, encrypted, non-corporate, non-data-mining, email/calendar/collaborative docs WHEN???

7/8/24- spent the last few months tryna save a community space I cared about. a lot of us cared about. July 1st was the date they gave us and they never did back down or concede a signle demand. I don't think everyone has given up yet. But I know I need to work harder on everything I've been neglecting, not least of which is money/job shit. and relocating fan club. and on and on.

4/5/24- started a new project: Merch Tables for Palestine. Bands/anyone can grab a pack of zines/flyers/stickers to table with to help connect people to local organizing and potentially raise much needed funds for aid. I spent a day this week making copies as I processed the news about [beloved community space] closing. Or intending to close. I'm not ready to give it up yet.

3/29/24- Led a workshop over zoom last night about how to make shows safer from COVID-19. Super proud of how it came out and grateful that it got such a good response (I think we had like 16 ppl?? lots more signed up). I'm going to do more of them. Also built another air purifier last week. Feeling motivated.

2/9/24- I started updating http://abac.neocities.org/ again. "this site was started in 2020 to help spread the word about webinars and remote panels happening on topics of racial justice, abolition, and related struggles. I also sometimes posted protests and rallies. I am going to try to start updating it again to share events and actions (in-person and remote) related to Palestinian solidarity, with a focus on MA but maybe some stuff in RI and NH as well."

So that's where most of my energy has been lately, when I'm home at least. When I'm out, it's been consistent community fridge drop-offs (gratefully) and a recent masked show I staffed. Some protests and standouts but not too many as my pain has been pretty fucked.

I'm begrudgingly starting a full-time temp job next week. I'll be driving too much, and during rush hour, but I desperately need the money. It's been impossible to find something remote. And I know that working in person, especially with all that driving, will mean a lot of pain flares over the next month. But I can't keep depleting my savings like I have been.

I've been thinking a lot about indoor air quality, as a career. I feel a little overwhelmed trying to map out what I would need to do to make it a reality. But I enjoy learning and teaching people about ventilation and air purification, so like, that feels like a realistic goal and next step? Not only because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic but also given how much more frequent flooding in my area has gotten. Mold testing and remediation will only become more important in my lifetime. I want to be able to do something to help.
